No more new episodes of Outlander? #droughtlander2015
E Online caught up with Sam Heughan about his portrayal of Jamie which is a great read if you haven’t already seen it! Read all about it here!
If you absolutely love everything about Outlander you are sure to love what we have to say! Keep reading!
Not only is Siobhan Mackenzie a born and bred young Scottish Fashion Designer hailing from The Highlands but she specialises in Bespoke and Contemporary Kilts. Wait, it gets better!
Recently Siobhan was at Castle Leod the Seat of Clan Mackenzie- where the castle behind Outlander was inspired chatting all things Mackenzie for her upcoming catwalk extravaganza for The Clan Mackenzie International Gathering 2015.
How stunning is the castle?!
Here is Siobhan at the front of the castle in her own Weathered Mackenzie Kilt- did you know you can visit the historic Castle Leod? Find out more http://www.castleleod.org.uk/ a truly beautiful castle in The Highlands of Scotland that is well worth a visit! The inside is so rustic and perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony.
Siobhan is working in collaboration with The Clan Mackenzie Society to bring home her award-winning designs to a spectacular catwalk show in August 2015 as well as currently working on the new collections to be unveiled on the night of the show using the exclusive Mackenzie 78th Highlander Tartan, Mackenzie Harris Tweed and gorgeous cloth by Johnstons of Elgin. Famous for Johnstons cashmere they also provide textiles for top Fashion Houses such as Chanel & Louis Vuitton– if you are ever in Elgin then do book yourself into a visit of the mill or why not visit their shop- it is sensational!
Siobhan’s Graduate Collection ‘Clan Mackenzie’ in 2014 featured the Weathered Mackenzie Tartan which is very Outlander-esque. You can view the full gallery of Clan Mackenzie here .
We photographed the Gallery at Aldourie Castle on the banks of Loch Ness- another magical Highland castle. If choosing a wedding venue we would really struggle to choose between Castle Leod and Aldourie- both amazing in their own ways! Maybe the ceremony at Castle Leod and the reception at Aldourie- or is that slightly too extravagant? Two castles in a day! The ultimate luxury wedding!
The Weathered Mackenzie Kilt contrasted with Genuine Harris Tweed has been a clear favourite from the range- you can shop the Outlander look here.
