Best New Scottish Designer or Artist- The Scottish Variety Awards 2016

On Saturday 19th March we attended The Scottish Variety Awards 2016 hosted at The Crowne Plaza Glasgow.

The awards celebrated the best new talents and businesses in Scotland and we were honoured to be shortlisted for “Best New Scottish Designer or Artist 2016”.

Best New Scottish Designer or Artist

Our category was very strong being amongst fantastic talents such as Samantha Wilson, Caitlyn Hynes, Cats Brothers and Samantha McCoach- which is why it was such a privilege to be announced as the WINNER! We wish our congratulations to everyone in all categories for their nominations and to the winners on their achievements.

The event was hosted by STV’s David Farrell and River City’s Leah MacRae and entertainment included the magnificent Colin Cloud who wowed the audience with his incredible mind reading talents!

We loved our Scottish themed goodie bags which included a mini Irn-Bru (the ultimate hangover cure), a Tunnocks Caramel Wafer (definitely our kilty pleasure of the evening) and a lovely candle from  The Isle of Skye Candle Company!

The event was held in aid of the DEBRA charity so we hope lots of money was raised for this fantastic cause!

We of-course dressed in Siobhan Mackenzie-: wearing the Mackenzie Silk Dress from our Graduate Collection which Siobhan made as a student during her BA Honours Fashion Design & Production degree and a kilt outfit from our most recent 78th Highlanders Collection.
